About Pamela Adkins

Pamela helps make balance a reality in people's lives. With expertise in Career Development, Financial Literacy, Life Planning, and Diversity Awareness, she uses a holistic approach to help people focus on what matters most.

Pamela holds a Bachelor of Science in Child Development and a Master of Science in Human Development, followed by a Master of Art in Career Counseling, all from NC Central University. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and certified Career Counselor pursuing her Ph.D. in Secondary Education (Higher Education) at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Pamela integrates various counseling approaches in her sessions such as person-centered, mindfulness-based, reality therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapies. During your sessions, Pamela will strive to balance mindful awareness, a genuine and empathic relationship with the client, and a collaborative effort to identify what changes a client can make to minimize emotional and behavioral disturbances.


Pamela's role as a counselor is to provide nonjudgmental support to help you reach your goals. She will assist you in your journey by facilitating the process of identifying and making changes to minimize any emotional and behavioral disturbances.

Please note that clients are responsible for calling their insurance to verify insurance benefits for outpatient therapy. Here are the accepted plans:

Medicaid- Carolina Complete, Healthy Blue


Out-of-Network Insurance: We can provide a “Super Bill” invoice that clients can submit to their insurance provider to claim out-of-network benefits. The client is responsible for verifying out-of-network benefits with their insurance plan.

Private/Self-pay, fee schedule is as follows:


Initial Assessment/Consultation - $170

Individual 40-45-minute session - $105

Individual 46–60-minute session - $140

Couple/ Family 45-minute session - $120

Couple/ Family 46–60-minute session- $160


There will be a $105 no-show/late cancellation fee for missed appointments unless you cancel/reschedule them with a 48-hour notice in advance.
